Our story

Founded as “Direct Data Capture, Ltd.,” in 1989, The DDC Group began as a pioneer in business process outsourcing with a commitment to robust data management and innovation. 

Initially focused on providing data entry services to businesses across different sectors, the company’s first mission was to solve challenges for companies in managing large volumes of data by providing services to deliver accuracy and efficiency, beginning in areas such as forms processing, back office support, and document management. Since then, DDC has expanded both geographically and in the range of services it offers, with 8,200 team members and counting serving clients from offices in the Americas to Europe and Asia.

Key milestones and growth

  • 1989: Founding and Early Expansion
    The DDC Group was founded with a focus on data entry and back office support. These core services initially centered on industries that had high demands for data accuracy, such as financial services and healthcare.
  • 1990s: Growth into Global Markets
    As the demand for data processing services grew, DDC began to expand into international markets, opening operations in multiple countries. This period marked its transition from a local service provider to a global outsourcing company. The expansion also allowed DDC to build a network of centers, establishing a scalable business model that helped companies save costs by outsourcing data-intensive tasks.
  • 2000s: Expansion of Service Offerings
    The 2000s saw The DDC Group diversifying its services, adding data capture and document processing to its portfolio. This period also saw the company adopt new digital and automated data processing tools to enhance speed and accuracy in its services. DDC’s commitment to technology-driven solutions helped it secure a foothold in new sectors, such as logistics, transportation, and energy.
  • 2010s: Enhanced Digital and Knowledge Process Outsourcing
    With advancements in digital transformation, The DDC Group expanded into knowledge process outsourcing (KPO), a step up from basic data entry that involved more specialized data processing services. This era marked DDC’s shift to higher-value services, including customer care and content management, which helped the company stay competitive in a rapidly evolving BPO landscape.
  • 2020s: Focus on AI and Automation
    In recent years, The DDC Group has continued to embrace technological innovation, integrating AI and automation into its processes and product portfolio to improve efficiency for client domains. The company also invested in cloud-based technology and cybersecurity to provide enhanced data security and flexibility for its clients.

 

Today, DDC is known for its end-to-end solutions in areas such as customer experience and data management, as well as in verticals of shipping, logistics, energy, utilities, and retail. The company’s continuous infusion of emerging technology and predictive adaptation to client needs has allowed it to remain a respected name in the global BPO industry for over three decades.
