Former Group CFO brings nine years of company experience and deep expertise in international business, finance, governance, and technology-enabled operations
May 19, 2026 - The DDC Group today announced the appointment of Julian Lamont, CA CTA FCT, as Group Chief Executive Officer.
Julian succeeds Nimesh Akhauri and brings nine years of experience with The DDC Group, most recently as Group Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, he played a central role in the company’s financial leadership, commercial decision-making, governance, and international operations.
A commercially focused Chartered Accountant, Julian has particular expertise in large privately owned businesses operating internationally. He began his career with a global accountancy firm before moving into industry, where his experience has been wide-ranging and includes BPO, metals, rural and commercial property, agriculture, and sports management, including football. He also holds an honours degree in Computer Science, giving him a valuable combination of financial, commercial, and technical perspectives.
